Early Literacy Screener Update

Recently, we’ve had some questions regarding the easyCMB Early Literacy Screener. To make sure everyone is on the same page, we’re posting the guidance we’ve received from TDOE on the subject.

ELAP requires the Composite Score,  also called the Nationally Normed Percentile Score. However, on the the last paragraph on page 1 of TDOE’s Universal Reading Screener Guidance, it states that easyCBM does not provide a composite score and TDOE derives the composite score for easyCBM by calculating the average of the three subtests included in the matrix, which follows in the document.

This may be something the school calculates and you can just request from their data people, or you may need to calculate it on your own. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance in this process.
